Each plan set is drawn at 1/4"=1' scale and includes the following drawings:
Artist's Rendering: An artist's drawing of the home, usually viewed from the front, and general construction notes.
Elevations: Shows the front, sides, and rear, including exterior materials, trim sizes, roof pitches, etc.
Main Floor Plan: Shows placement and dimensions of walls, doors, & windows. Includes the location of appliances, plumbing fixtures, beams, ceiling heights, etc.
Second Floor Plan (if any): Shows the second floor in the same detail as the main floor. Includes second floor framing and details.
Foundation Plan: Shows the location of all concrete footings, floor beams, first floor framing, and foundation details. If there is a basement, a basement plan is included which shows all basement details.
Floor Framing Plan (if any): Shows location and spacing of floor joists and supporting walls or beams.
Roof Framing Plan: Shows roof outlines, conventional framing/trusses, beams, roof framing details, etc.
Section & Details: Shows a cross-section of the home. Shows support members, exterior and interior materials, insulation, and foundation. Specific details such as fireplaces, stairways, decks, etc. are drawn at 1/2" = 1' scale, and appear as needed throughout the prints.
Electrical Plan: A schematic layout of all lighting, switches and electrical outlets.
Compact, traditional home plan the Danbury features an efficient and open kitchen with views of both the front and rear yards at its center. This one story home plan can fit neatly on a corner lot and is brimming with popular amenities.
Views of the front driveway can be taken in from the kitchen sink by simply gazing across the bright eating nook. On the opposite side of the kitchen brings you to the range and oven located in the eating bar. From this vantage point, you can see through the great room and dining room to the back of the house. Parents with small kids will appreciate having the ability to keep tabs on them when they are outside, no matter which yard they are playing in.
The pass-through utility room is convenient to the kitchen, secondary bedrooms, and a generous walk-in pantry.
Centered in the great room, a fireplace provides charm and warmth. For added energy efficiency, the fireplace could be replaced with a wood stove.
For a home of this size, the Danbury's owners' suite features a large walk‑in closet and a lavish bathroom with a soaking tub and dual sinks. A window over the bathtub brings in natural light keeping this space bright. The shower and toilet are all separately enclosed for additional privacy. On the opposite side of the home from the owners' suite are two more bedrooms which share a two-section bathroom.
If an office, study, den or any other type of flex space is desired the Danbury's nook could be modified by simply walling it off from the kitchen along with an addition of a door off the entry hall.
