Stately and elegant are the first impressions made when looking at the Cheshire, a large Tudor house plan. Clean, classic columns frame the entry along with brick and stucco combine to create a grand exterior for this two-story home plan.
The sense of grandeur continues inside. The foyer opens up to a richly windowed octagonal shaped living room. The second-floor bridge adds visual separation of the entry and living room without disrupting the feeling that this is one large space. To the left of the front door, a polished wooden balustrade floats upward towards the second floor.
Considered a key feature by many, the master suite for the Cheshire is located on the main floor. Filling most of the left side of the home, the master suite is truly a luxurious escape from the busy day-to-day activities of the rest of the house. A bay window expands the sense of spaciousness and floods the room with natural light. Next to the bay is private patio access. Additional features of the master suite include a huge walk-in closet, separate dual sinks, large soaking tub, and compartmentalized toilet and walk-in shower. The master suite also has direct access to the study.
Separated by only an eating bar, the kitchen and living room are bright and spacious. The large kitchen includes every convenience, including a work island with built-in cooktop. Passing through the door on the right side of the kitchen brings you to the utility room. Here you will find the walk-in pantry along with ample counter space and cabinet storage. The pass-through nature of the utility room makes it also useful as a mudroom, allowing dirty clothes and shoes to be shrugged off before moving through the main house. The three-car garage is just on the other side of the utility room and has extra room, including a full closet, for storage or a workspace.
The second floor seems to almost have two separate wings. To the left of the bridge is a guest suite, complete with private bathroom and large walk-in closet. Guests will surely feel at home in this room. On the right side of the bridge is a loft which can be furnished as a library or study. Two additional bedrooms and a compartmentalized bathroom can be found along with a second utility room. Over the garage is a bonus room which adds even more flexibility to this grand, 2 story home plan and can be finished to fit the homeowners' needs.
