CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS (most plans)
Cover Page. Each home plan features the front elevation and informative reference sections including, general notes and design criteria*, abbreviations, and symbols for your plan.
Elevations. Scaled elevations for the front, rear, and sides are provided. All elevations are detailed and an aerial view of the roof is provided.
Foundations. Foundations are fully engineered for each design, whether slab or basement.
Main Level Floor Plan. The detailed drawings are fully dimensioned for ease of framing. Exterior wall thicknesses vary by plan. If necessary, contact Design Basics to clarify the standard exterior wall thickness for the plan(s) you are interested in.
Second Level Floor Plan. Dimensioned and drafted to the same degree of detail as the main level floor plan*.
Electrical and Sections. Illustrated on a separate page for clarity, the electrical plan shows suggested electrical layout for the main and second level floor plans. Typical wall and stair sections are provided to further explain construction of these areas.

Because codes and requirements can change and may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, the designers cannot warrant compliance with any specific code or regulation. All plans can be adapted to your local building codes and requirements. It is the responsibility of the purchaser and/or builder of each plan to see that the structure is built in strict compliance with all governing municipal codes (city, county, state, and federal).
A blend of textures and materials the Sunflower Glen is an eye-catching, traditional house plan. The stucco brings the feeling of warm and sunny climates while the shingle accents bring old-world charm. A cozy covered porch greets visitors and family while providing enough space for a porch swing or other outdoor seating. The front door is framed by the posts that mark the boundary of the covered porch.
Inside the entry provides nice separation from the living area. There is enough room in the entry to furnish it with a coat hanger and bench if desired. Immediately you are presented the stairs that lead up to the second floor. While to the left a wide hallway leads past a flex room which could be used as a home office, den, study, or hobby room depending on the homeowners’ needs. Beyond the flex room the floor plan opens up to the great room which fills the back of the home.
The great room is an open and informal living space with the living room, dining area, and kitchen all open to each other. In the living room a fireplace along the right side wall can be enjoyed throughout the whole great room. From the dining area you can access the back covered deck which makes an ideal place to enjoy meals on warm summer days. An island in the kitchen provides some visual separation from the dining area while adding additional seating with the built-in eating bar. The spacious kitchen also boasts a large walk-in pantry complete with appliance center.
Off the dining room an opening leads to the mud hall and half bathroom. The mud hall is outfitted with bench, lockers, and a drop zone for organizing electronics, wallets, and purses. Off the mud hall is direct access to the attached three car garage.
This two story house plan has all of the sleeping areas on the upper level. This home design offers four bedrooms all of them suites. Two of the bedrooms share a jack-and-jill style bathroom. The owners’ suite fills the left side of the upper floor plan. The owners’ suite bathroom is large and luxurious. Features of note include a walk-in shower, sauna, dual vanities, private toilet, large walk-in closet, and direct access to the laundry room.
