CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS (most plans)
Cover Page. Each home plan features the front elevation and informative reference sections including, general notes and design criteria*, abbreviations, and symbols for your plan.
Elevations. Scaled elevations for the front, rear, and sides are provided. All elevations are detailed and an aerial view of the roof is provided.
Foundations. Foundations are fully engineered for each design, whether slab or basement.
Main Level Floor Plan. The detailed drawings are fully dimensioned for ease of framing. Exterior wall thicknesses vary by plan. If necessary, contact Design Basics to clarify the standard exterior wall thickness for the plan(s) you are interested in.
Second Level Floor Plan. Dimensioned and drafted to the same degree of detail as the main level floor plan*.
Electrical and Sections. Illustrated on a separate page for clarity, the electrical plan shows suggested electrical layout for the main and second level floor plans. Typical wall and stair sections are provided to further explain construction of these areas.

New to plan buying?
A blend of vertical and horizontal siding with stone accents gives Craftsman flavor to this farmhouse plan. The Sunflower Creek is a two story house plan that is sure to be a welcomed addition to almost any neighborhood.
Slender columns with stone bases along with decorative railing mark the boundary of the covered front porch. The space is large enough for a porch swing or other outdoor furniture if desired. Walking inside, the foyer is roomy with a coat closet immediately to the right. Nearby a double set of stairs lead up to either the second floor or down to the unfinished basement. To the left of the entry, a set of French doors opens to the flex room. This space provides homeowners’ with the flexibility to furnish this room as a home office, den, hobby room or whatever else suites.
From the entry the floor plan opens up to the great room. Living room, dining room and kitchen are seamlessly blended together as one open room. First up is the great room which is bright and spacious. A fireplace is centered along the rear wall and framed by windows on each side. Next the great room continues to the dining area which has a sliding glass door providing access to the back yard. The great room is completed with the well-appointed kitchen. In addition to ample counter space and cabinet storage the kitchen boasts a center island and large walk-in pantry with appliance center.
Off the dining room an opening leads to the Sunflower Creek’s mud room. Complete with a drop zone to store electronics, purses and wallets the mud room also has space for lockers or a bench. A large storage closet and a powder bathroom are accessed off the mud room in addition to the home’s attached 3 car garage.
This four bedroom house plan has all of the sleeping areas on the upper level. Two of the bedrooms are laid out as jack-and-jill suites and share direct access to a compartmentalized bathroom with dual vanities. The other secondary bedroom has a private bathroom and walk-in closet. The owners’ suite is down the hall from these bedrooms and is a spacious retreat and boasts a private bathroom with dual vanities, walk-in shower, private toilet and large walk in closet. Off the walk-in closet there is optional access to additional storage room.
