Cabin plan inspired Gailon 4 is a Craftsman house plan that offers homeowners’ relaxed cabin style living in an urban friendly exterior. The welcoming front porch and natural materials will have the neighbors giving this home a second look.
Columns frame the front door that opens to the air lock. To the right is a coat closet and on the other side of the second door the entry continues. This transition has a powder bathroom straight ahead and access to the attached two car garage to the right. The large opening on the left opens to the gathering areas in the core of the home.
The open concept floor plan has the dining room completely open to the kitchen. The comfortable kitchen has counters and cabinets along two sides with an island expanding the work space and providing an eating bar. Access to the large covered patio is from the kitchen making this a convenient spot to add an outdoor kitchen or grilling space. A pocket door in the kitchen hides the main floor laundry room.
The dining room is also open to the living room. A cozy fireplace can be enjoyed from both rooms during cold winter days.
The back corner of the floor plan is filled with the main floor master suite. This retreat offers a walk-in closet and private bathroom with separate shower, spa tub and twin sinks. The two story floor plan is laid out to provide separation between the master suite and two other bedrooms by placing them on different levels.
On the second floor, in addition to the two bedrooms there is a full bathroom plus an unfinished bonus room. The suggested layout for the bonus space would provide a second floor suite with private bathroom and step-in closet. However this room can be finished to the homeowners’ desire and could be outfitted as a hobby room or additional gathering space.
