This European style house plan has a charming but misleading exterior. The Inglenook is larger on the inside than the curb appearance makes it look. Designed for a downhill sloped lot, the home opens up into two levels of living space.
A covered porch wraps around the front of the home, welcoming guests and giving a nice place to relax on warm days. The front door opens into a formal foyer. A private den is located adjacent to the foyer, which could also be used as an office or library. To the other side of the foyer are a mudroom, half bath, and laundry room. The mudroom has an entrance to the two-car garage as well.
Straight through the foyer, the home opens up into a great room style living area. The kitchen is tucked out of the way, with a long, cornered island to distinguish the spaces. The living and dining room is one large space with a warm fireplace enjoyable from any spot in the room. Off the dining room are two different spaces to enjoy nature. One exit leads to a sunroom, full of natural light, allows you to enjoy the views without the weather. The other exit leads out to a deck. The deck is spacious enough to hold a BBQ or entertain.
The master bedroom is located down a short hallway just off of the living room. The vaulted ceilings and windows let in warm light to the room. The master bath includes a double vanity, a large walk-in closet, and a soaking tub. The private toilet area also creates a walkthrough that leads back into the laundry room for added convenience.
The downstairs adds an extra 1000+ square feet of living space to the home. With two bedrooms, a full bath, and a family room. The family room includes a beverage bar and exit to the backyard and would be a great space for a game or movie night.
