A charming one story home plan, the Northaven is an idyllic Craftsman house plan that invites a second look. The combination of batt and board siding, shingles and stone wainscot give this home plan its curb appeal.
The spacious front covered porch extends a dry and welcoming feel. Stepping in the front door there are two directions. To the left, is a short hallway that leads to the secondary bedrooms and a full bathroom. If 3 bedrooms are not needed, one or both of these rooms can be outfitted to serve other functions such as a home office, study or hobby room. Back at the foyer, straight ahead the hallway leads to you great room.
The kitchen feels spacious and is equipped with modern appliances and an island complete with eating bar. For those that like to entertain a wet bar is nearby with space for a small refrigerator and sink. The seamless transition from the kitchen to the dining room provides a sense of unity. The living room fills the back of the great room and is naturally bright from windows along three walls. Centered along the back wall is a fireplace which keeps the Northaven cozy throughout the cold, winter days. One of the walls in the great room has a sliding glass door that leads to the large covered porch allowing living and entertaining to flow outside any time of year.
Off the dining room a small recess in the wall shelters the entrance to the owners’ suite. This spacious retreat has private access to the covered porch along with two closets, one of them a walk-in. A pocket door leads to the well-furnished, private bathroom with dual vanities, soaking tub, walk-in shower and private toilet.
Heading back towards the front of the home, a second hallway off the kitchen leads to the Northaven’s laundry room and additional storage room. A door opposite the laundry rooms opens to the attached, 2 car garage. If additional storage is needed, a bonus room is situated over the garage.
