A classic combination of lap siding, stone wainscoting and window shutters combine on the front façade of the Miranda 5, a truly country home plan.
Two columns frame the front door which opens into the great room. A large coat closet is to the right the rest of the foyer is completely open to the great room. The living room, dining room and kitchen are one seamless space which gives the Miranda 5 a feeling of unity. Windows and a set of sliding glass doors fill the great room with natura light.
The kitchen is will appointed for a home of this size. Filled with modern applicances, ample counter space, cabinet storage and an island which helps to provide some feeling of separation from the rest of the room.
Running along the right side of the great room are the stairs that lead down to the basement foundation. The basement provides all sorts of possibilites with a suggested layout that will add two addtional bedrooms a full bathroom, storage closet and additional gathering space this area can utlimately be finished to the homeowners' desires.
Back on the main floor, three bedrooms fill the right side of the home. Towards the back are two secondary bedrooms, which if the sleeping space is not needed could be outfitted to serve as a home office, hobby room or guest room. The master bedroom is at the front of the home and is the largest of the three bedrooms and features two closets. A shared full bathroom is also on this side of the home and features additional cabinet storage, a combination tub/shower, toilet and single vanity.
This one story home plan would work equally well as a modern cabin plan on a lake or river front lot or in an urban area on a smaller city lot.
