The Oceana is a two-story farmhouse style house plan with a welcoming, family-focused design. The covered porch, shuttered windows, and a brick chimney blend together to give a country house plan style that will look good in any neighborhood. Designed for a down-hill sloped lot, the back of the house is three stories tall, exposing the lower, unfinished daylight basement.
The front door leads into an entry foyer and immediately into the open great room. The first floor has a very minimal division of space. The floor plan is ideal for people who enjoy entertaining and it gives a space for families to be together without having to do the same task. The living room area has a warm, comforting fireplace as a centerpiece. Off the deck is a nice deck to enjoy warm summer evenings. The kitchen has plenty of space and amenities, including an island with seating. Just off the kitchen are the mudroom, laundry room, and entry into the two-car, forward-facing garage. The entry to a den is discretely tucked back by the stairs at the front of the house. This private space would make for a great home office or possibly a library.
Upstairs you will find more private spaces. The master bedroom has a spacious amount of floor space and a large walk-in closet. The master also has a private bath with dual vanity, private toilet, and a relaxing tub. The two additional bedrooms may share the same floor with the master but the floor plan is laid out so that each room still has optimal privacy. At the end of the hall, above the garage, is a large bonus room. This space would be an excellent game room or craft space.
