Soaring roof peak and a solider row of columns create an impressive and eye catching exterior to this country house plan. The Evergreene design is a two story home plan that is equally well suited for construction as a year round residence or as a vacation home.
The welcoming front porch is roomy enough for a porch swing or a set of outdoor chairs. The front door doesn’t face the street creating a sense of privacy. Inside the entry layout continues to provide private for the rest of the home. A coat closet is straight ahead and columns mark the transition to the hallway that traverses front to back of the floor plan. Off the entry a set of stairs winds up to the second floor.
The long hallway is an ideal place to display art or family photos. To the left, an opening leads to a shorter hallway with the washer and dryer tucked away in a closet plus access to the main floors full bathroom and a bedroom.
The back of the floor plan opens up to the great room. Living, dining, and kitchen are all open to each other. This casual and laid back gathering space is ideal for those who enjoy informal entertaining. The kitchen is roomy and boasts an island with built-in eating bar. The dining and living rooms are naturally bright and richly windowed allowing the room to feel as if it were outside. And two sliding glass doors along the back wall can make that happen during nice weather. Just around the corner from the living room is access to the Evergreene’s expansive back deck.
Up on the second floor are two additional bedrooms. One is larger and features a walk-in closet and private balcony. This room could serve as the master bedroom. The second floor has one full bathroom that is shared between both bedrooms and features a soaking tub, dual vanities, separate shower and private toilet.
At only 26’ wide, the Evergreene is also an ideal narrow lot home design for those building on compact city lots.
