*Plans are drafted to meet average conditions and building codes in Nebraska, Ohio, and Texas at the time they are designed (contact us for more information). Because codes and requirements can change and may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, the designers cannot warrant compliance with any specific code or regulation. All plans can be adapted to your local building codes and requirements. It is the responsibility of the purchaser and/or builder of each plan to see that the structure is built in strict compliance with all governing municipal codes (city, county, state, and federal).
New to plan buying?
Designed as a narrow lot house plan, the Kershaw’s compact width of 24’ makes it a great design choice for those building on small city lots. The trio of materials on the exterior of this country house plan gives it eye-catching curb appeal.
Inside, you immediately step into the living room. The living room is separated from the kitchen and dining room by the second floor stairs however there is still a relaxed and causal feel to the space. An opening along the back of the living room opens to a short hallway. To the right is a coat closet for organizing layers and shoes. To the left is a drop zone to help organize phones, keys, wallets, and bags. There is also access to the attached one car garage. Straight ahead the floor plan opens to the kitchen and dining room. The comfortable kitchen has a cabinet pantry and center island. Along the back of the dining room is a sliding glass door that opens the space up to the backyard.
Off the kitchen is a main floor bedroom. This suite shares a full bathroom with the rest of the first floor.
On the second floor, the top of the stairs opens up to a loft. For larger families, the designer provides an alternate layout that converts the loft into a fourth bedroom. If the fourth bedroom is not needed, the loft can be furnished as a sitting area, library, study, or hobby room. A third bedroom, full bathroom, and laundry room are also on the second floor along with the master bedroom. The master suite has a private bathroom and large walk-in closet.
